The Patinos team is hard working, experienced and empathetic. From our receptionists to our Partners, our approach to helping clients is cohesive across all our five Brisbane law offices. We’d like to introduce our expert legal team.
Colin Patino is the Principal of the Practice. He qualified as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom and worked in London before emigrating to Queensland in 1997. Colin has since worked for a number of CBD law firms, specialising in compensation claims including acting on behalf of most of the major insurance companies. Colin is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Pan European Organisation of Lawyers. Outside of the office, his passion is football. He enjoys playing in the Brisbane over 35’s league and coaches an under 10’s team.
Alistair Lord is a Consultant for the firm. He qualified as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom where he progressed through the ranks from Junior Solicitor to Equity Partner in an established law firm. Alistair emigrated to Queensland in 2007 and brings a wealth of experience to Patinos. He is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Lawyers Alliance. In his spare time, Alistair is a fan of musical theatre. He is a dedicated follower of football and in particular, Manchester City, his favourite team whom he supports from afar.
Michael Coughlan is a Consultant with Patinos, having previously worked in a number of positions on behalf of both Defendants and Claimants in the compensation claims arena. His previous experience in acting for Defendants has equipped Michael with valuable insight into what opponents are contemplating and doing. He uses this acumen to help clients to remain one step ahead, ensuring them the best possible results. Michael is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance. Michael’s popularity in the office increases whenever he brings in his homemade chocolate brownies to share.
Josh commenced work with us in June 2015 whilst completing his law degree. Josh brings energy and enthusiasm to the role and no little life experience. He completed a Bachelor of Business at Queensland University of Technology in December 2011 and headed to New York in the United States to work as a Media Buyer for a large network before deciding that law was the career he wished to pursue. Over the past 18 months Josh has developed his legal knowledge through a combination of work and study and we have no doubt that his thirst for knowledge will ensure that he has a very prominent, long term role within the firm.
